from a college radio show to a weekly podcast

It started in 2006 at Quinnipiac University. Freshman Alex Lauzon and Michael Russell started a new show on WQAQ, Quinnipiac’s student radio station. “Token Sports” allowed the two friends to talk about sports and more every week until the two graduated in 2009.
Alex and Michael kept in touch and kept talking golf and sports, albeit informally. After being in each other’s weddings as groomsmen, the two started a new podcast, “The Course Of Life,” to give themselves a creative outlet to talk golf, sports, life, and food. They haven’t looked back since.
Alex Lauzon
Alex is one half of the Course of Life podcast team who serves as host, live broadcaster, analyst and betting extraordinaire for the brand. After earning a degree in broadcast journalism at Quinnipiac University, Alex worked in the fast-paced ESPN and ESPN radio newsrooms. He has interviewed athletes and celebrities from all walks of life who often love to play golf.
When he’s not playing golf or creating content and talking golf on Course of Life, Lauzon enjoys time with his wife and dog, checking off the next island vacation destination or counting down the days to the next golf trip!
